function "Invite by email" is not working correctly

New member have to click 2 times on link in incoming email - first time for registration, second time for access to repository

This is happening by design :) We are however open to proposal. How would you like the system changed?

I wanted to invite a User who had already created an account, but he always received the e-mail to create a new account, while at the top there was visible that he had already been logged in with that e-mail.

If you click on "Invite by email" and you put in the dialog box the email of the user you want to add the system will propose you to add him directly.

Let me know if this works, apologies for the late answer

I've been trying to use "invite by email" for a user with an existing account. It says that the system can add him directly, but my browser ends up waiting indefinitely for a response when I click "yes" to this.

So that functionality doesn't seem to work, regardless of what browser I use.
